A habitual Truant is a child of compulsory school age who is absent without legitimate excuse from the public school the child was supposed to attend for five or more consecutive days, seven or more school days in one school month, or 12 or more school days in the school year. A first time habitual Truant is an unruly child, a Repeat habitual Truant becomes a delinquent child
