Legal custody/ Legal custodian

Legal custody is a legal status that grants the child’s custodian with the right to have physical care and control of the child and to determine where and with whom the child shall live, and the right and duty to protect, train and discipline the child and to provide the child with food, shelter, education and medical care. A legal custodian can either be a person such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle or an agency such as the Ashtabula County children services board
